Every autumn, the American Friends of the Musées d’Orsay et de l’Orangerie (AFMO) hosts its signature benefit weekend and gala evening in support of the Musée d’Orsay and the Musée de l’Orangerie.

AFMO’s contributions help fund special exhibitions, educational initiatives, and vital conservation efforts. The organization also champions Contemporary Art Programs at both museums, supporting innovative projects by artists such as Peter Doig, Laurent Grasso, David Hockney, and Mickalene Thomas.

This year’s Weekend in Paris, which will be held from October 23 through October 26, aligning with Art Basel Paris—an exciting moment when the Paris art world takes center state and welcomes the best of the international art market.

On Saturday, October 25, 2025, AFMO will host a spectacular gala evening at the Musée d’Orsay. This unforgettable celebration of art and philanthropy is open to Weekend in Paris guests as well as to art patrons and friends wishing to join this unique philanthropic occasion.

The evening will include:

  • a private viewing of the Musee d’Orsay’s autumn exhibitions, including Sargent, The Paris Years

  • a cocktail reception in the Musée d’Orsay nave

  • an elegant dinner prepared by Alain Ducasse and his team.

Corporate tables are available:

  • Premium table: $25,000 ($12,500 tax-deductible). Includes 10 full-evening tickets + 8 additional tickets for the cocktail and exhibition viewings only. Supplementary tickets are available for purchase ($1,800 per person).

  • Classic table: $18,000 ($9,000 tax-deductible). Includes 10 full-evening tickets. Supplementary tickets are available for purchase ($1,800 per person).

Last October, the benefit evening at the Orsay offered guests exclusive access to two vibrant exhibitions—Caillebotte. Painting Men and Harriet Backer (1845-1932). The music of colors)—as well as a cocktail reception and an exquisite dinner curated and prepared by Alain Ducasse and his team. The evening brought together more than 200 supporters, including patrons of the Orsay and Orangerie, prominent artists, and art gallery representatives. (Please click HERE for highlights.)
