The AFMO 2025 Annual Benefit Weekend and Gala Evening brought together a vibrant community of art lovers, collectors, and patrons to celebrate the artistic dialogue between France and the United States. Over several exceptional days, guests enjoyed a program designed in support of the Musée d’Orsay and the Musée de l’Orangerie, with privileged access to the season’s landmark exhibitions and events. Our guests participated in a selection of private conversations, exclusive visits, and immersive encounters highlighting fine art, French savoir-faire, and cultural heritage.
AFMO Gala Evening
Saturday, October 25, 2025 @Musée d’Orsay
Guests enjoyed private access to the museum’s galleries, including guided visits of the fall exhibitions Sargent. Dazzling Paris and Paul Troubetzkoy. Sculptor (1866–1938). The evening continued with a cocktail reception followed by an elegant dinner crafted by Alain Ducasse’s team. Inspired by the artistic universe of John Singer Sargent, the celebration paid homage to his mastery, a memorable evening of artistic excellence, cultural exchange, and a shared passion for the arts.
U.S. Embassy Cocktail
Friday, October 24, 2025 @Hôtel de Pontalba
Every year, AFMO gathers friends and supporters at the historic Hôtel de Pontalba—residence of the U.S. Ambassador since 1972—for a Friday evening cocktail that celebrates French-American friendship and our shared commitment to cultural collaboration. Bringing together guests from both sides of the Atlantic, this gathering marks the beginning of the AFMO Gala Weekend and affirms our mission to support the arts across borders. This year’s cocktail was graciously hosted by H.E. Charles Kushner, U.S. Ambassador to France, and his wife, Mrs. Nicole Kushner.
Sénat Luncheon
Friday, October 24, 2025 @Sénat-Palais du Luxumbourg
AFMO invited our guests to an exclusive luncheon in one of the Sénat's dining rooms, at the invitation of Sénateur Antoine Lefèvre, president of the France-USA interparliamentary commission. An elegant setting typically reserved for official functions, this celebration of French-American friendship offered a unique opportunity to dine within one of France's most storied political institutions.
Opening Cocktail
Thursday, October 23, 2025 @Musée de l’Orangerie
As per tradition, the 2025 rendition of AFMO's Gala Weekend opened with a cocktail at the Musée de l'Orangerie. Guests not only attended an elegant cocktail reception, they also had the opportunity to enjoy a private viewing of a newly opened exhibition, organised by the Grey Art Museum in New York, the Museum of Fine Arts in Montreal, as well as the Musée de l'Orangerie: Berthe Weill. Art dealer of the Parisian Avant-garde.
AFMO extends its heartfelt thanks to our partners:
Gregory Annenberg Weingarten and GRoW @ Annenberg for their continued support.
And to the WSJ Magazine team for their enthusiasm and support.
We are very grateful to our returning partners for their commitment and friendship:
Special thanks to Anne Kitchen and her team for their contribution to our gala dinner.
