On April 4th, AFMO Avant-Garde members joined Nicolas Gausserand and Brazilian artist Lucas Arruda for a preview of his exhibition Lucas Arruda. Qu’importe le paysage, on view at the Musée d’Orsay from April 8th to July 20th, 2025.

This exhibition is the first monographic show at a French museum dedicated to this emblematic figure of Brazil’s contemporary art scene. A true master of pictorial gesture, Arruda has developed a body of work centered on light, consistently exploring landscapes through a rigorous approach that moves between figuration and abstraction.
