Mary Cassatt. Independent

Through talent and determination, Mary Cassatt (1844-1926) forged herself a unique identity in late 19th and early 20th century art history, on both sides of the Atlantic. In honor of the centenary of Mary Cassatt’s death, the Musée d’Orsay is organizing a major exhibition devoted to the artist, in collaboration with the National Portrait Gallery in London and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. This exhibition marks the first of its kind in France, where there has never been a major exhibition devoted to Cassatt, despite her being an active member and pillar of the Impressionists.

Please join us for an exclusive, closing day guided tour of Mary Cassatt. Independent at the Musée d’Orsay, on Monday, November 9th, 2026 at 1:00 PM.
