The Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris presents the most significant exhibition to date of George Condo, surveying more than four decades of the artist’s painting, drawing, and sculpture. Organized in collaboration with Condo himself, the exhibition brings together works from major museums and private collections that explore his dynamic engagement with art history, his psychologically charged depictions of the human figure, and his experiments in abstraction. The exhibition showcases Condo’s “Artificial Realism,” his portraits of imaginary humanoid beings, and immersive explorations of color and form.
With roughly 80 paintings, 110 drawings, and 20 sculptures presented thematically, the exhibition showcases Condo’s distinctive ability to merge historical references, contemporary culture, and his singular pictorial language.
